Content Security

The Content Security page allows the Publisher Administrator and the Folder Administrator to assign Publisher roles to users that have access to the folder. Portal users whose access levels have been set to Reader role or higher, as well as users and groups listed on this page have access to the folder. The level of access each user or group has to this folder is dependent on the role the Publisher Administrator has assigned to them.

By default, the folder inherits the security of its parent folder, so to change its security settings, clear the Inherit Security check box at the bottom of the Content Security page.

Click Finish after you configure the following:

 Add Users and Groups

Add users or groups to the content security access list. Select users or groups from the Select Users and Groups dialog box.

Note: The Administrators group has access to all Publisher portlets and content by default.

Add Portal Security Map

Map or assign the access level of portal objects to a role. You can define how the access level of users of portal objects (such as a community) aligns with a Publisher role. For example, you can set all users in the Marketing community who have Read access level in the portal to have Submitter role on Publisher.

In the Select Portal Object to Map dialog box, select a portal object for which you want to define Publisher roles.

Delete a user, group, or portal object mapping. Select its check box before you click .

Role drop-down list

Set the role for a user or group, choose the desired role from the drop-down list to the right of the user's or group's name.

You cannot change the roles of users who have been assigned Administrator and Folder Administrator roles. These roles are  inherited from parent folders and cannot be changed from the child folder.

Access Level drop-down list

Define how portal access level translates to Publisher roles. For example, you can equate Select access level in the Accounting community in the portal to Contributor role in Publisher.
