Editing Objects

When you create a published content portlet in Publisher, the system creates a folder using the name of the portlet and puts the associated data entry templates and presentation templates in the folder. The content items created through a published content portlet are also stored in the portlet's Publisher folder.

In the Configure Portlet Wizard, portlets are comprised of object categories containing editable objects. Editable objects are logical categories of Publisher objects, like content items, data entry templates, and presentation templates, that you can edit to change the appearance and functionality of the portlet. Click an object category to edit it, or click Next>> or <<Previous to scroll through each editable object category.

Specific instructions for editing object categories or editable objects might be presented. However, if no instructions appear on this page, click an editable object to edit it. Either make changes within the wizard or click Edit next to the desired content item, data entry template, presentation template, or selection list to open the association editor for the object.

To display the page associated with this help topic:

1. Click Administration.
2. Open an administrative folder.
3. In the Create Object menu, click Portlet.
4. Choose the portlet template for the type of portlet you want to create. The Portlet Editor launches.
   Note: You can also access the Portlet Editor from the Community Editor by clicking This Community's Portlets, then Create Portlet. The Choose Portlet Template page in the Portlet Editor launches.
5. Click Edit next to Configure this Portlet to access the Configure Portlet wizard, where you can edit the objects included in the portlet template.
6. Under Edit Objects, click an editable object.
