Rich Text Editor Toolbar

The Rich Text Editor has a toolbar that lets you format text.

Click or Select
To

Change the font of the selected text. Select the font from the drop-down list.

Change the size of the selected text. Select the font size from the drop-down list.

Change the color of the selected text. Select the color you want from the palette.

Highlight the selected text. Select the color you want from the palette.

Apply bold formatting to the selected text.

Italicize the selected text.

Underline the selected text.

Reverse the last formatting action.

Repeat the last formatting action.

Available for HTML code view only. Toggle between text wrapping format. You can have the HTML text editor display an entire paragraph (<p> </p>) in one line or have it wrap around to fit inside the editor view.

Toggle between WYSIWIG editor and HTML text editor.

Shift the selected text towards the left margin and create a hanging indent.

Shift the selected text towards the right margin and indent the selected text.

Create a numbered list that increments automatically as you press ENTER to start a new line.

Create a bulleted list.

Align the selected text to the left margin of the text body.  

Align the selected text to the center of the text body.

Align the selected text to the right margin of the text body.

Create, edit, or remove hyperlinks. You can also create links to content items in the same folder. To change the font of the hypertext, edit the HTML code by clicking .  

Insert a table or modify an existing one. You can insert, delete, merge, and split table cells.

Add an image.

Insert portal transformer tags. When a published content item is viewed through the portal gateway, portal transformer tags are replaced with information about the user, page, or community in which the published content appears.

For example, the Community Name tag is replaced with the name of the community in which the published content appears. For more information, see the Using Publisher Tags in Presentation Templates.

Refresh the WYSIWYG editor.
