To create or edit a best bet:
Under Best Bet Trigger, type the text you expect users to search for and for which you want to control the results.
Note: Best bet triggers (search terms a user enters) are case-insensitive.
In the Search
box, type the text that returns the results you want to display
for the trigger search and click .
Under Search Results, choose up to 20 results in the order in which you want the results ranked. For example, the first result you select is the one you want to rank highest.
The highest ranking result on your list is
the top best bet. It is indicated
by this icon: . This feature links users directly to the
highest ranking result when they do a top best bet search. There are several
ways end users can go to the top best bet, one of which is to click on
this icon if it is enabled in search controls. See the Oracle WebCenter Interaction UI Customization Guide, which is located on the Oracle Technology Network at http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/bea.html for how to enable this
icon using the search tag.
Under Associated Result Rankings, you can perform the following actions:
To view a result, click its name. The result displays in a new browser window.
To delete a result, select the result and
click .
To select or clear all of the result check boxes, select or clear the box to the left of Associated Results.
To reorder the rankings of results:
To move a result to the bottom of this
list, click .
To save your best bet, click Finish.
