Folder Workflow Properties

Workflow makes it possible to control the quality and accuracy of content items before they are published. A workflow consists of an ordered set of activities, each requiring approval by an assignee. When workflow is attached to a folder, content items submitted to workflow must be processed through this defined set of activities before being published.

Use this page to edit the workflow properties for a Publisher folder.

To attach a workflow to a folder:

  1. In the Publisher Explorer left pane, right-click a folder and click Workflow.
  2. Click Select.
  3. Choose a workflow from the list of workflows. Only enabled workflows appear in the list.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Finish.
Click Change to change the workflow associated with a folder. Click Remove to remove the workflow from this folder.

Allow content items not in workflow to be published

Allows content items contained in this folder that are not currently in workflow to be published.

Inherit workflow settings from parent folder

Causes the workflow settings for this folder to be inherited from the parent folder.
