Special FRS Employer Newsletter--Managing Your January DeadlineAbout 26,000 new Florida Retirement System (FRS) covered employees will reach their enrollment deadlines over the next two months! Earlier this month, two reminder letters and enrollment forms were mailed to the nearly 15,000 employees facing a January 31 deadline. The first letter had an incorrect choice end date of February 28, 2005. The second and final letter mailed on January 10, 2005 had the correct date of January 31, 2005. The letters contain the employees' Personal Identification Number (PIN) which allows them to log-in to www.MyFRS.com or enroll on the phone (regular and special risk classes only). With such a large group coming to a deadline, there is the potential for bottlenecks. We encourage you to provide your own reminder directing new employees to use the free FRS educational resources and enroll before the last week of the month.
Finally, all enrollment forms should be mailed directly to the FRS Plan Choice Administrator: CitiStreet. FRS enrollment forms submitted to your office, but not received by CitiStreet by 4 pm EST on January 31, 2004 will not be processed. Thanks for your continued support. |
